Another successful trip to Cartagena, Colombia.
A group of 12 women visited the famous city of Cartagena. The city has a combination of colonial period where the Centro Historico is located and it is surrounded by miles and miles of white sand beach, where most of the hotels are located.

A group of 12 women visited the famous city of Cartagena. The city has a combination of colonial period where the Centro Historico is located and it is surrounded by miles and miles of white sand beach, where most of the hotels are located.
We stayed in La Boquillia Beach, in Sonestra Hotel. We were able to do tours to Totumo Volcano and the pink sea which was not pink at the time. We were scheduled to visit the Isla Rosario but we were unable to attend. There are endless things to do specially for foodies and history buffs. You sure need more than 3 days in Cartagena.

Last month, my family, myself and some friends went on a 4-day cruise to Bahamas on Carnival Magic from Port Canaveral, Florida.
There were 36 cruisers, where 47% of them were first time cruisers. The experience was amazing even in times like this- pandemic.

Carnival Magic departed from Port Canaveral, Florida off to Nassau, Bahamas and another private island in Bahamas. There were children among us and unfortunately, children under 12 were not able to visit Nassau because they were not vaccinated yet. Nonetheless, the rest of the family and friends truly enjoyed Nassau and Paradise island.

Virgin Island remains open however, covid test is required prior to entering the island. The island is very small so few days is just about right to enjoy the nice beaches and the weather. We stayed in at Hill Top Villas at Bluebeard's Castle- a nice resort up the hill in Charlotte Amalie area.
We rented a safari car to take us around the island. With a direct flight from Boston, it is easy to get in and out of the island.
We visit the two best beaches- Coki beach and Megans Bay.
Most of the restaurants and bars closed early because of the pandemic.

On Sunday, we had an excursion to the Island of Icacos with East Island Excursion. The two tours were just want we needed to enjoy our 70 Hours Adventure Puerto Rico. We stayed in Courtyard Resort by Marriot in Isla Verde.

The best area to stay in Tulum is the hotel zone area where you are pretty much walk to the major restaurants, beach clubs, retreats and spas.
Additionally, we highly recommend that you visit one of the 7th Wonders of the World- Chichen Itza and cenotes ( subterranean water bodies ).
Tulum is a great place for a quick romantic or friends getaway.

Martinique is one of the oversea region of France located in the Caribbean sea. The culture is a fusion of French and west Indian with some African roots. Seattle is known for "the Emerald City" because of the greenery that surrounds it all year round. The city is home to many successful companies such as Amazon and Starbucks. Start the trip in Madrid, Spain where you get to explore the city for just one day, yes one day. You can see a lot in one day. Then you go to the " King's Landing" (Dubrovnik, Croatia) which is the main location for the trip. In Dubrovnik you must visit the old town best known as "the King's Landing" from the HBO show Games of Thornes.
There are many islands in the area, so it is highly recommended to take day trips to islands around the city such as Korcula. One can take bus trip to Montenegro to visit two medieval cities, Kotor and Budva. This is a day trip.
Another day trip can be to the Mostar in Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Japan- the most organized and cleaned country we have experienced thus far. Everything here runs very efficient. Japan is a high tech country infused with Japanese culture and traditions. You can start your trip in the capital city, Tokyo, and experience the best of Tokyo. You are able to take a day trip to Mt Fuji and ride the bullet train (the fastest train out there).
Visiting Osaka is highly recommended. The city has tons to attractions and it neighbors other amazing cities such as Kyoto, Kobe, Nara, etc.
Singapore- The city, the island and the country (all in one). Singapore is known for its amazing architecture buildings such as the Marina Bay, the Barden by the bay, the Rain Forest, Sentosa among other attractions.

Israel- the sacred land, home to Jerusalem and many others religious locations. The night life is also popular here but the country shuts down from sundown on Friday until sundown on Saturday. But any other day, it operates like any other country. The must visit places in Israel are: Jerusalem, the dead sea, Nazareth, Bethlehem (Palestine), Tel Aviv and Eilat.
Jordan- Shares boarder with Israel and it has two access points. Start by visiting Amman, the capital city and off to the Petra to visit one of the wonders of the world, the Treasury. Also, Wadi Rum is desert in Jordan and we highly recommend you to visit it. You can stay overnight in one of the many bedouin camps to watch started nights, ride camel in the desert and do a desert safari.

Havana- capital of Cuba, is a vibrant city at night and during the day. Cuban people are friendly and very respectful of the tourists. The city is old and most of the buildings are from colonial period . Riding a classic car around Havana, drink Havana Club and smoking Cuban cigars are all something to be experienced in Cuba. Other things to do are: visiting the Plaza de la Revolución (Che Guevara Monument), Fabrica del Arte, El Moro, El Malecon, etc.
One must visit near by areas such as Varadero for beach experience. There are many resorts and hotels in that area for those who wish to experience a more relaxed vacation.
